What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of cafe-style meals, including hot and cold dishes, fast food meals including burgers, fries and sandwiches using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste and presentation
  • Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Providing exceptional customer service and assisting front-of-house staff as needed

What we're looking for

  • Happy to support and guide Hospitality/culinary students who are studying Cookery or similar courses as they progress and develop
  • Strong working knowledge of food preparation, health and safety, and kitchen operations including a Food Safety Certificate
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well in a team and maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude
  • Creative flair and passion for producing high-quality, delicious cafe-style meals

About Us

We are WA's only metropolitan race club and manage two venues – Ascot and Belmont Park Racecourses. For 160 years, we have been one of Perth's major tourist attractions, offering thoroughbred racing, entertainment and venue hire for special events.

Racing is an all-year sport – we host race meets every week in every season In addition to our racing carnivals, we also host corporate functions, conferences, festivals, weddings, trade shows and much more.

For the superstars in our team, we have shifts available for race day and non-race day events all year round, above and beyond our Ascot Racing Carnival.
