Your New Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Advice Assurance, the Advice Assurance Manager works within Member Domain, Guidance & Advice and is responsible for assessing and monitoring the quality of advice being delivered to members through Fund based digital, phone, face to face channels and through our external registered adviser channel.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Support the first line of accountability for the provision of quality advice across the Fund's advice channels.
- Conduct reviews of our Internal Advice Channels (phone and face to face), including our 3rd party advice providers (IFS and MUFG) to gain assurance they are complying with the legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Assess and evaluate our third-party adviser compliance frameworks and practices against key legislative and regulatory obligations, professional standards and, business rules in order to develop assurance over the quality of advice being delivered to the Fund's members, and identify gaps, issues and key emerging risks.
- Assess external licensee registration applications, through the Fund's licensee application and due diligence process.
- Produce and present written Advice Assessment Reports and include recommendations where appropriate.
- Recommend and establish remediation activities collaborating appropriate stakeholders (internal and external)
- Assess and approve advice fee escalations
- Facilitate and provide reporting for the monthly referral panel meetings and assist with the oversight of the Fund's advice referral program
- Conduct advice fee reviews to ensure the Fund's adherence to its advice fee oversight obligations.
- Develop and maintain relevant procedures, processes guides, policies and standards.
What you'll need
- Previous experience in financial planning compliance, legal, regulatory or auditing.
- An understanding of financial planning businesses, how they operate and the ability to apply best proactive compliance principles.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills including excellent communication with the ability to build relationships and provide feedback in a constructive manner.
- An ability to make clear decisions which may involve difficult choices or considered risks.

- Work with tight deadlines
