The Opportunity:

The Operations Supervisor is essential in leading a dynamic team of forklift operators and local drivers, overseeing local freight operations primarily for BHP. This role serves as the primary escalation point for internal operational issues, ensuring seamless logistics and high performance.

Key responsibilities include mentoring staff, managing freight loading and unloading processes while adhering to safety regulations, ensuring equipment availability and maintenance compliance, and utilizing digital manifest systems for accurate documentation and tracking. We seek a motivated individual for our Largs North facility who is dedicated to safety and continuous improvement in logistics operations.

You need:

Forklift Licence

To be a people person with good communication skills

Experience as a Supervisor in a fast paced and client-facing environment

A solid knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements

A strong knowledge of Load Restraint with experience with different freight types

Can work effectively with computers, manifesting and related apps/software

To successfully complete a pre-employment medical examination

A current police clearance

A commitment to safety and applying safe-working practices

Nice to have (or willing to get):

MC Licence

Basic Fatigue Management certification
