About your new role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of complex technical and business change initiatives, working within the City's established governance framework.
We have a number of key projects in the portfolio and are looking for outcome focussed project managers with good delivery discipline to drive these projects to successful completion
The projects are delivery ICT software upgrades and rollouts, ranging from business wide enterprise solutions to niche solutions for specific business areas.
This work will involve stakeholder engagement, planning, vendor management, change management, technical design/development/testing and adhering to our P3M methodologies and practices
You'll work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver solutions that streamline processes, strengthen service delivery, and enable long-term capability uplift.

We're looking for people who have:
You thrive in complex environments where collaboration, adaptability and clear communication are essential to meet project success. You will be able to wear multiple hats, from managing senior stakeholders to drive vendors and support your project team, all while removing roadblocks and keeping the project on track.
To succeed in the role, you will have:
- Proven experience delivering ICT software projects
- Experience leading system upgrade or remediation projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver agreed outcomes
- Experience overseeing ICT hardware, software and services procurement in a project environment
- Skills in managing scope, schedule, risks, issues and financial controls across concurrent workstreams
- An understanding of organisational change management practices to ensure correct application of OCM to drive adoption, ensuring smooth transition and ownership across business units
- High-level communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders
- A proactive, solutions-focussed approach with strong leadership qualities and the ability to mentor teams
- Adaptability to shifting priorities and a commitment to continuous improvement and Agile practices.
Flexible work arrangements are available, allowing for approximately 50% work from home. While you will be required on-site each week to effectively manage stakeholders and project teams.
