The Company
Civmec is an Australian-owned, integrated, multidisciplinary heavy engineering and construction services provider to the energy, resources, infrastructure, marine and defence sectors. Our diversification enables us to operate extensively across the nation, supporting a wide range of landmark projects and providing variety and career development opportunities for our workforce.
Join the Civmec Team
At Civmec, we're committed to enhancing our systems and digital tools to better support our people and projects. As we introduce new platforms and processes, our goal is to ensure every team member feels confident, supported, and empowered to use these tools effectively.
We're currently seeking a Systems Training Specialist to join our Business Systems team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in driving user adoption and engagement by designing and delivering impactful training programs that help our workforce unlock the full potential of the systems that underpin our operations.
The Role
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of training programs for new and existing business systems.
- Deliver training sessions through various formats, including video tutorials, one-on-one sessions, and small group workshops.
- Create engaging, user-friendly learning content, including guides, videos and interactive eLearning modules
- Identify and manage the most effective platform for delivering training across a diverse workforce.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to customise training to meet business needs and functions.
- Maintain and regularly update system user guides and training documentation.
- Assess training effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics and refine materials accordingly.
- Deliver training with clarity and confidence, adapting to varying skill levels and learner expectations.
- Promote ongoing learning by supporting the adoption of training tools and resources post-implementation.
- Stay up to date with system changes and enhancements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct training needs analysis and develop strategies for system rollouts, upgrades, and process changes.
About You
We're looking for someone who's passionate about helping others succeed through effective learning and system adoption. Ideally, you'll bring:
- Proven experience in training coordination, facilitation, or analysis, including program management and delivery.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and support learners across varying skill levels.
- A creative and practical mindset, with the ability to turn technical content into clear, engaging learning experience
- Confidence in delivering training both in-person and virtually, with the flexibility to travel occasionally for onsite support.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, especially when creating training materials and documentation.
- The ability to collaborate with stakeholders and adapt training to meet evolving business needs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of eLearning platforms, digital training delivery methods, and content creation tools to develop engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Previous experience in system rollouts, change management, or digital transformation projects is an advantage
- Experience in the construction or engineering industry is a bonus—but not essential. A willingness to learn and understand our operational context is key.
