About the role..
The Clinical Lead for Speech and Language Pathology holds a pivotal position responsible for providing comprehensive clinical leadership, governance, and oversight to our team of Speech and Language Pathologists at Royal Rehab LifeWorks. This role is dedicated to enhancing best practice standards, fostering practitioner development, and ensuring top-tier clinical services.
This role will be critical to the growth of the Speech Pathology in our community locations and work with the Regional Manager and Team Leads to recruit, hire and support development of Speech therapy Services across all locations. The position will also have a small but manageable clinical caseload. If you are an experienced Speech Pathologist with skills in supervision, service development and business growth this is an amazing opportunity to lead and develop a team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and collaborate with various stakeholders within a therapeutic support framework to empower customers with complex allied health needs.
- Deliver customised Speech and Language pathology services in line with organisational values and the individualized, person-centered, and strength-based approach of our Service Delivery model.
- Offer clinical guidance and supervision to Speech and Language Pathologists, optimize client plans using evidence-based practices, and lead training sessions to enhance team skills and foster professional development among Speech therapy staff.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to craft personalized treatment plans, integrating input from families and caregivers to ensure holistic care for clients with complex needs.
- Conducts and completes relevant therapeutic reports, functional and therapy assessment and information gathering with customers to develop reports relevant to NDIS needs.
- Stay updated on Speech therapy developments, establish clinical standards, and create resources to enhance customer experience while conducting routine audits for quality assurance.

Essential Criteria:
- Registration with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
- Tertiary level qualifications in Speech Therapy
- Proven experience leading, mentoring and motivating a team
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Strong commitment and professionalism to customer centred care
- Highly motivated and a positive attitude
- Current driver's license
