Marketing Sweet is looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our rapidly growing team as a Web Hosting & WordPress Support Specialist. With over 100 team members across 7 specialist departments, we're proud to be one of Australia's leading digital marketing companies.

You will be an essential point of contact for clients and co-workers, ensuring the smooth operation of hundreds of WordPress websites, domains, DNS, and Google Workspace emails, while also managing deeper hosting and infrastructure responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, chat, and email, and assist co-workers with hosting-related queries.
  • Troubleshoot a wide range of technical issues across WordPress, hosting, DNS, and email.
  • Manage WordPress operations: plugin, theme, and core updates; staging workflows; QA testing; rollbacks; and conflict resolution.
  • Execute website migrations between servers (staging/production workflows), including DNS, SSL, databases, etc.
  • Monitor and maintain backups, restore points, and rollback drills in line with SOPs.
  • Participate in incident response (site outages, plugin conflicts, security alerts).
  • Configure and maintain hosting environments
  • Assist with Google Workspace support (email, domains, user issues).
  • Maintain clear documentation, logs, and SOP adherence.
  • Communicate daily with the Hosting Team Lead or and Operations Manager.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in web hosting and WordPress environments (core, plugins, themes, staging & production workflows).
  • Strong knowledge of WHM/cPanel.
  • Strong knowledge of Domain Names and DNS management.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Workspace administration.
  • Experience with backup & restore systems, rollback automation, and manual recovery.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Customer service mindset – able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical clients and co-workers.
  • Positive, proactive, and able to work under pressure when responding to urgent hosting issues.

Desirable

  • Previous experience working with co-managed MSP or hosting provider models.
  • Prior experience with managed WordPress hosting or "site care" services.
  • Prior helpdesk experience
