About the role

We're looking for a high-energy 
Sales Development Representative / Business Development Manager
 to help scale 
WP Staq
 — Australia's fastest-growing 
Managed WordPress Platform for digital agencies
.

You'll be at the front line of growth: identifying qualified leads, booking demos, and turning conversations into long-term relationships with agencies that manage anywhere from 
20 to 2,000+ WordPress sites
.

This is an 
on-site role in Adelaide
, where you'll work directly with our leadership and marketing teams to grow our Australian customer base and expand into new regions.

Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.

What you'll be doing

  • Drive outbound prospecting
     – research, reach out, and qualify digital agencies, developers, and enterprise partners who manage multiple WordPress sites.
  • Run discovery conversations
     that uncover pain points around hosting, updates, caching, and site management.
  • Book and support demos
     alongside our product and customer success teams.
  • Own your pipeline
     in our CRM from first touch to closed deal.
  • Collaborate with marketing
     on targeted campaigns, follow-ups, and event-driven outreach.
  • Gather market feedback
     to help shape product messaging, pricing, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Hit and exceed sales goals
     — with uncapped commission and clear growth paths into senior roles.

What we're looking for

  • Proven success in 
    B2B SaaS, hosting, or digital-agency sales
     (SDR, BDM, or Account Exec level).
  • Minimum 1-2 years of sales development or business development experience required.
  • Comfortable speaking the language of 
    agencies, developers, and marketers
    .
  • Excellent communicator who can simplify technical topics like hosting speed, scalability, or site updates.
  • Experience with 
    HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar CRMs
     and outbound automation tools.
  • Experience with multiple CRM systems is required.
  • Analytical and resourceful — you track metrics, test messaging, and iterate fast.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a 
    fast-moving startup environment
    .
  • Bonus: understanding of 
    WordPress, AWS, or web-hosting technology
    .
