The Company
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to take a step into a supportive environment and be apart of a large and growing Australia business. As the Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll. This is an initial 3 month contract role, with the view to become permanent. Please note, we do require 5 days on site in the Sydney Olympic Park office.  

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the role includes:


• Assist the Payroll Manager with end-to-end weekly payroll processing, including superannuation, overtime, commissions, and WorkCover.


• Prepare and support payroll reports that provide management with insights into payroll performance (e.g. actual vs forecast, rostering, sick leave, overtime, and commissions).


• Assist with wage forecasting and related analysis.


• Support the rollout and implementation of the new payroll system.


• Oversee and process payroll independently during the Payroll Manager's absence.

Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will have 3+ years of experience in a similar Payroll Officer position along with the following skills and attributes:

  • Excellent communication skills and a reliable attitude
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to confidently work autonomously
  • Experience with UKG or Employment Hero is highly regarded.
  • Intermediate excel skills
  • Motivated and can-do mindset
