While we have advertised this role as full time we are open to part time for the right candidate.

The Role

We are looking for a
General Manager
to play a central role in shaping the next stage of Canberra BD's growth. Reporting directly to the Founder, this is a rare opportunity to step into a true GM role with autonomy and ownership.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Client Growth Support
    – working closely with current clients to deliver strategic BD support, coaching and pipeline acceleration.
  • New Opportunities
    – identifying, shaping and securing new client relationships across B2B and B2G markets.
  • Business Leadership
    – contributing to Canberra BD's strategy, operations and growth plans, with a view to scaling a high-performing team.
  • Entrepreneurial Input
    – bringing ideas, networks and energy to help shape our service lines and long-term direction.

About you

You're commercially minded, entrepreneurial and thrive in environments where you can combine strategy and execution. You'll likely have experience in:

  • Business development, sales leadership or consulting (B2B or B2G).
  • Managing client relationships at senior levels.
  • Building or scaling a service-based business.
  • Strong networks within the Canberra business and government community (highly valued).
