About the role

Join our team as an Engineering Mechanical Trade Apprentice (Fitting) at Parker Hannifin Australia Pty Limited in Castle Hill, NSW. This full-time role will see you gain hands-on experience and training to become a qualified fitter, turner and machinist. We will consider apprentices from 1st year through to 4th year to apply now

What you'll be doing

  • Undertake a structured apprenticeship program to develop your trade skills in mechanical fitting, turning and machining
  • Work alongside experienced tradespeople to learn techniques and methods for assembling, maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment
  • Operate a variety of machines and tools to manufacture, assemble and test mechanical components and products
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and specifications to complete work tasks to a high standard
  • Participate in on-the-job and off-the-job training to build your theoretical and practical knowledge

What we're looking for

  • High School Certificate – Year 11/12 Completion (Preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in engineering and manufacturing
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Commitment to completing a 4-year apprenticeship program
