This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a full-time Irrigation Leading Hand.

Based near Robinvale in the Sunraysia region, VIC, you will work closely with the Irrigation Controller and have the responsibility for day-to-day irrigation operations.

This hands-on role is a great opportunity for someone with irrigation experience to be coached by experienced leaders and broaden their skill in monitoring soil moisture, maintaining the farm's irrigation equipment and infrastructure, and manage a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in irrigation, fertilizer and maintenance program requirements.
  • Lead a small team of irrigation hands
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure timelines and scoped works are met.
  • Assist in monitoring and managing the efficient and timely delivery of water and fertilizer to the orchards.
  • Maintain irrigation equipment and ensure timely service and repairs of the irrigation system.
  • Identify and report issues and undertake corrective measures.

  • Previous experience working on a farm with leadership experience, and knowledge of drip irrigation systems, system design and function.
