Early Childhood Teacher (Maternity Leave Cover)

Our Lenah Valley centre is committed to providing high-quality education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children thrive, and educators are supported to excel.

We are seeking a passionate and committed Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our Lenah Valley Childcare and Early Learning Centre team on a maternity leave contract. This is a fixed-term position with the opportunity to work alongside our dedicated educators in delivering high-quality programs that nurture and inspire children's learning and development.

What you'll do

  • Deliver engaging, play-based educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Support children's learning journeys through observation, documentation, and planning
  • Build meaningful partnerships with families and the community
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and provide guidance to ensure best practice
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and service policies

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
  • Registration or eligibility for registration as an Early Childhood Teacher in Tasmania
  • Strong knowledge of the EYLF and NQS
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to creating positive, inclusive, and safe learning environments
