We have over 12 acres to enjoy - that's about the size of 194 netball courts

The Farmhouse in Mansfield, Victoria, is not just an extraordinary child care and kindergarten facility, it's an extraordinary place to work and play. Complete with real grass and real animals, we have enough space to fly a kite and for rainbows to come and visit (not kidding). Our rooms enjoy lots of natural light through big windows, every room has it's own kitchen and we run incredible incursions facilitated by our talented and enthusiastic team. At the moment we have Stephanie Alexander Kitchen-Garden incursions, dance incursions and PE (sports) incursions

A wonderful opportunity exists for an outstanding Early Childhood Educator.

Ideally we'd like to appoint an educator who already holds or is working towards their Diploma in Early Childhood, or Bachelor qualification. This could be an Australian qualification or an international one that's like-recognised by ACECQA.

However, you may be new to the field or have extensive experience - either is fine with us because children care about the present and who you are in their world today. We have the same outlook and welcome applications from new industry entrants as well as industry experts  We can also assist you commence your studies at Cert III level or further your studies at the Diploma level, if you wish to.

We're presently looking for a warm, passionate and cheery educator who exhibits professionalism, dedication to education in the early years and an appreciation for the Reggio Emilia philosophy.

With enthusiasm for the early childhood industry and a positive team approach, you'll be nurturing each child's learning journey with particular emphasis on engaging with nature and animals, alongside the children and our team.

We value cloud-watching, raising lambs, helping another do a puzzle, collecting the chooks' eggs to cook with, making daisy chains and mud pies, and jumping in puddles in the rain.

You'll be working alongside other qualified team members in the rooms (you won't be working alone) to care for and educate children and guide the philosophy of our service. Our Educational Leader is also available for mutual collaboration, guidance and discussion.

What's Mansfield like ?

The township of Mansfield is an easy two hour drive from Melbourne - and we have no traffic lights There's also a VLine bus that operates once or twice a day and goes directly to shopping centres such as Eastland and Bundoora DFO before going into Melbourne. Mansfield was the second most popular place to move to after Covid because of it's welcoming attitude to new arrivals and the opportunity to enjoy within easy reach swimming in freshwater rivers, waterskiing on Lake Eildon or Nillahcootie, walking the many tracks of the High Country and skiing or boarding on Mt Buller in Winter.

The town has three primary schools, two secondary schools, two supermarkets, two chemists, a K-Hub, two mini-golfs, a library, post office, ambulance service, hospital, two medical practices, two dentist practices, three vet practices, three pubs, a wide variety of shops and plenty of coffee shops and cafes to work your way through There's also football and netball clubs, Little Athletics on Friday afternoons, basketball, cricket, soccer, Auskick, Net Set Go and an active tennis club. All of these have lessons and competitions for both children and adults.

The position is available to start at a mutually agreeable time, from the end of September onwards.

Regarding qualifications: you may already have this or be working towards, or yet to start your qualification - all are fine, just so long as you hold working rights in Australia. Preferably you'll have a passion for children and some experience in childcare or a similar field (eg. swim instructor, teacher, physical education, camp leader etc). If you're already Cert III, Diploma or Bachelor qualified your remuneration will reflect those achievements. To commence a qualification, we can help arrange that too, and there'll be no need to drive to another town - you can do it onsite.
