Due to a large pipeline of upcoming capital works, we're seeking a Water Recycling Plant (WRP) Integration Officer – Mechanical to join our Treatment & Recovery Services branch in a newly created role.
Reporting to the WRP Integration Manager, you'll assist with the operational integration of capital works at South East Water's Water Recycling Plants (WRP). This includes representing operations during the design, delivery, commissioning and handover of works at WRPs with a focus on the integration of mechanical assets, by:
- Participating in design workshops to provide technical mechanical advice
- Reviewing and providing advice on WRP works documentation, including specifications, detailed designs, technical briefs etc, to ensure compliance with relevant standards and operational requirements for WRPs
- Working closely with the project delivery team to identify and address mechanical integration issues during all project phases
- Keeping stakeholders informed on delivery of works at WRPs
- Getting involved on-site with the commissioning and handover of mechanical works at WRPs
- Monitoring delivery of works at WRPs, raising awareness of issues and ensuring their rectification prior to completion
- Participating in the handover of works including operational records and manuals
A mechanical trade or degree qualification plus prior experience in the operation or maintenance of Water Recycling Plants will set you up for success in this role.
In addition, we're looking for demonstrated experience or skills in the following areas:
- Technical experience and knowledge of design and construction of mechanical assets
- Experience in the delivery of capital projects
- Knowledge and the appreciation of wastewater treatment processes
- Strong communication, negotiation and issues management skills with the ability to manage relationships at all levels
- High level analytical skills and an ability to develop ways of improving work procedures and processes.

This role is remunerated at a Level 5, which is between $112,377 and $118,760 super and offers are commensurate with the successful candidates' experience.

As part of a team of engineers and technicians, central to this role are responsibilities for 24/7 safe operation to provide support and minimise disruption of services to customers and as well as ensuring that public health and the environment are not put at risk.
