- $88,109.84 plus base salary + 12% superannuation + NFP salary packaging options

ACSO's Men's Reintegration Service program is a state-wide program delivering re-entry services to people in prison and the community in partnership with Queensland Corrective Service (QCS). The program provides support in collaboration with the client and focusing on resolving any barriers pertaining to their return to the community, the service will also promote a successful reintegration journey. The service delivery model comprises of intense pre-release support, throughcare post-release support for up to six months, and after-hours services, to achieve successful outcomes for the people we support.
About the positionOur Forensic Case Workers are responsible for delivering pre- and post- release support to their allocated clients and will work intensively with prisons, courts and where applicable, with community corrections to successfully reintegrate clients. The Forensic Case Worker will be responsible for record keeping (including data entry and case-noting) and providing assertive outreach and interventions to at-risk and vulnerable cohorts. You will also have/be:
- Minimum Diploma level qualification in an area relevant to the program being overseen (Social Work, Justice, Psychology, Community Services and/or Welfare Studies), or;
- Significant relevant experience
- Completing transition and/or support plans with clients within accepted timeframes
- Providing assertive support (which can include intensive post-release support, inreach and/or outreach support), including actively supporting referrals to other services and to clients to address their specific risks and support needs which are aimed at reducing reoffending
- Pro-actively maintaining regular contact with clients during the service delivery period; actively promoting and encouraging the clients' continued engagement in the program
- Building clients' resilience to self-manage their own needs in the community prior to exiting support
- Creating and maintaining detailed, accurate and appropriate high-level information, data, reports and case notes for your clients on ACSO's client information management database
- Working collaboratively with the clients Care Team (including Corrections and other Stakeholders), attending meetings and appointments as required
- Confidence and ability to build positive relationships and communicate with people of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- An extensive background working with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people will be highly regarded.
