The Role
You will be responsible for supporting single males in a residential facility. The service operates on a 24/7 roster and shifts are as follows:
- Day Shift: 7:30am to 12:30pm Monday to Friday
- Night shift: 4:00pm to 8:00am with sleepover, Monday to Sunday
- 8:00am to 4:00pm Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays
Casual conditions will apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake reception and intake processes
- Coordinate services and provide supported referrals for clients
- Develop and access client referral pathways
- Undertake general housekeeping
- Accurately complete all necessary documentation and data entry
- Work collaboratively with tenancy administrators, family support workers and community care officers to provide transition and exit into appropriate housing
About you:
You will demonstrate relevant experience in case coordination and/or provision of support services, including a genuine commitment to achieving outcomes for clients. In addition, you will have a good working knowledge and understanding of the community and public housing sectors and services available to assist clients. You will also have:
- Excellent communication skills
- Capacity to maintain a safe and stable environment for clients, including de-escalating issues as they arise
- High level time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently as part of a wider team
- First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
- A commitment to the right of all people to affordable and sustainable housing.
