About the Role

At Life Choice, we don't just care — we lead, innovate, and empower. Our team work alongside people with disability to achieve meaningful outcomes that foster independence, confidence, and genuine inclusion within their communities. You'll be supporting participants in every part of life, from developing independence to building confidence and connection in the community.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting personal care routines (showering, dressing, toileting, etc.)

• Assisting with medication (administering and recording)

• Encouraging community participation (e.g. shopping, recreation, appointments)

• Helping build communication, life, and social skills

• Assisting with household tasks (meal prep, cleaning)

• Completing reports in line with Life Choice procedures

You'll be working across a variety of shifts, including afternoons, evenings, sleepovers, and day shifts, across in Hervey Bay and Maryborough.

Who We're Looking For

We want to work with people who are genuinely committed to making a difference. Experience in the disability sector is valued but not essential. What matters most is your attitude and values.

You are:

• Someone who cares deeply about helping others reach their goals

• Committed to upholding values of respect, integrity, and trust

• Comfortable working flexibly across a 7-day roster

• Open to learning and personal growth

• A team player who communicates openly and professionally

Essential requirements:

• A current QLD Driver's Licence

• Access to a mobile phone and email

• Willingness to obtain (if not already held):

• NDIS Worker Screening Card (Yellow Card)

• Working With Children Check (Blue Card)

• First Aid and CPR Certificate

• Criminal History Check

High Desirable (but not required):

• Experience with disability support or complex behaviours

• Experience with personal care or PBSPs and restrictive practices.

• Cert III or higher in Individual Support (or working towards)

• Availability for overnight and weekend work
