We are looking for a skilled Senior Civil CAD Technician to join our Queensland CAD & Digital team, where you will be responsible for technical documentation across a range of civil infrastructure projects including roads, highways, rail, electrical, and geotechnical disciplines. You will play a key role in producing high-quality 2D documentation that supports multidisciplinary design delivery for government and private sector clients. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to landmark infrastructure projects while developing your expertise within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The Opportunity
- Prepare accurate and high-quality civil documentation using AutoCAD and 12d across transport, development, and infrastructure projects.
- Manage your workload effectively, ensuring timely delivery of project outputs and adherence to drawing standards and processes.
- Liaise with engineers, designers, and project leads to ensure design intent and documentation aligns with client expectations.
- Participate in internal meetings, reviews, and CAD Skills Network activities to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Is this role right for you?
- Atleast 6–8 years of industry experience in civil infrastructure drafting, supported by a relevant qualification such as an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or a CAD Diploma. Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience in Infrastructure Drafting / Design with an emphasis on civil infrastructure in Australia, within a consulting business or government agency
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, 12d, and ProjectWise, with solid understanding of drafting standards, pen weights, line types, and document control.
- A detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and consistency in technical documentation.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- A proactive attitude toward learning new technologies and a desire to share knowledge and support others in their development.
