About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced sourcing professional to join our client's Melbourne Head Office. With a long and successful history servicing Australia's promotional and event-based products market, the business are seeking to better leverage their supply chain by getting closer to primary sources. This highly strategic role is accountable for improving buying terms, driving quality enhancements, and ensuring supply chain reliability. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position combines commercial acumen, operational excellence, and international supplier engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead low-cost-country sourcing initiatives to optimise procurement terms and reduce costs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with primary suppliers across South-East Asia.
  • Drive continuous improvement in product quality and supply chain reliability.
  • Oversee supplier audits, compliance, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.

Skills & Experience:

  • Fluency in Mandarin and proven ability to negotiate in cross-cultural environments.
  • Extensive experience in sourcing and quality management from South-East Asia.
  • Strong understanding of products commonly used in corporate promotional markets.
  • Commercial acumen with a track record of delivering cost savings and quality improvements.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills.
