The Home Buying team is responsible for end-to-end management of CommBank's Home Loan business including distribution through proprietary and third-party channels, acquisition, retention, customer experience, risk, product and continuous improvement.

As we continue to innovate in the home buying space, we're looking for a Senior Product Owner to lead the charge in delivering data insights and AI capabilities that empower our Broker Channel and drive strategic business outcomes.

• Lead a dedicated squad focused on delivering data insights and AI-driven solutions to support the Engage & Manage Brokers (E&MB) Crew.

• Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of initiatives that enable growth, efficiency, and innovation within the broker channel.

• Develop and deliver AI use cases that elevate the broker and customer experience.

• Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

• Define product vision, goals, and roadmap, aligned to crew objectives and business strategy.

• Collaborate with data engineers, insights analysts, and data scientists to drive innovation.

• Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation through to deployment and optimisation.

• Maintain a healthy, prioritised backlog and manage senior business and technical stakeholders.

• Drive squad effectiveness and agile maturity in partnership with Agile Coaches and Performance Leads.

• Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.

• Act as the voice of the customer and business, translating needs into actionable outcomes.

• Advocate for best practices and share learnings with the Product Owner community.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

• Deep understanding of the mortgage broker channel, industry structure, and key stakeholders.

• Proven leadership in delivery roles; engineering and technical proficiency is desirable.

• Experience leading high-velocity, agile, technical teams (PACE principles highly regarded).

• Advanced product lifecycle management knowledge with practical examples.

• Exposure to AI initiatives and a passion for leveraging emerging technologies.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the Australian home buying market and broker aggregator landscape.

• Exceptional relationship and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and persuade.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to prioritisation and backlog refinement.

• Home lending knowledge regarding credit, product, process, and systems.

• Postgraduate tertiary qualification in business or finance is desirable.
