HenderCare is currently seeking a casual Personal Care Worker to attend several homecare services throughout Canberra and the ACT. The successful candidate must be able to drive to and around: Hackett, Griffith, Rivett, Chapman, Ngunnawal, Bonython, Casey, and Surrounding Suburbs.

About The Role:

As a casual Personal Care Worker, you will aim to maximise the service recipients' independence by addressing their needs and building positive home environments and relationships with families and the community.

The ideal candidate will excel in handling multiple short shifts, able to drive and attend multiple clients in ACT, ensuring consistent opportunities to make a meaningful impact on the lives we support.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Domestic Assistance (e.g. cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, laundry, making the bed, etc.)

- Personal Care (e.g. bathing, showering, toileting, dressing, medication management, manual handling bed transfers, etc.)

- Community Access (e.g. supporting service recipients in accessing appointments or recreational activities)

Our Ideal Candidate:

- Minimum of 6 months experience in personal care provision is required

- Must be able to work with multiple clients per day and throughout the week

- Have the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations

- Have strong communication and documentation skills

Required (Mandatory):

- Unrestricted Australian driver's licence, own car, comprehensive vehicle insurance

- COVID-19 Vaccination (incl. 3rd Dose)

- Current National Police Check

- Current Working With Vulnerable Check (Employee-Type)

- Completed Certificate III/IV in Individual Support or Aged Care

- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) & CPR Certificate (HLTAID009)

- Current Manual Handling Certificate (HLTWHS005)
