About us
We are a long standing firm of Chartered Accountants located in Richmond NSW, specialising in SME business advisory services, audit, tax & compliance. Our small and friendly team takes pride in the role we take in assisting our clients.
The Role
Reporting to the partners, you will immediately become an integral senior member of our team. Some of your day to day tasks will including
- A significant part of your role will be in the audit side of practice, which includes trust accounts, community associations, and large private wealth clients.
- Other areas of your role include preparing financial accounts and tax returns for small business clients, including companies, trusts, partnerships and sole traders.
- Assisting with tax planning and more complex tax work including payroll tax, fringe benefits tax and capital gains tax.
- Working to and achieving ATO, client and practice deadlines.
- Analysing and identifying opportunities to assist clients with their overall tax & business strategies.
- Supported training to help expand and deepen your skills in all areas of tax, accounting, and related business advisory services.
- Time off for study leave for those candidates undertaking the CA/CPA program or equivalent.
- Assist and supervise junior and administration support staff.
Minimum Educational Requirements & Professional Experience
Australian Tertiary Accounting Qualifications. Working towards your CPA/CA Qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
- 2-3 years audit experience.
- Business Services/Tax experience.
- Proficient in the preparation of Activity Statements, the calculation of FBT, the determination of payroll tax liabilities, contractor reporting, and workers compensation declarations.
- Excellent knowledge of client accounting software; XERO / MYOB Account Right & Essentials / QuickBooks / Reckon.
- Knowledge of MYOB AE & CAS360.
- Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for all entity types.
- Excellent knowledge of taxation legislation.
- Advanced skills in the use of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
