About the role
We are looking for an experienced and talented Chef to join our team at Zero Mode in Box Hill, VIC. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for creating delicious and innovative dishes for our customers.

* Tasks Include:
* planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
* monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
* discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
* demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
* preparing and cooking food
* explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
* may select and train staff
* may freeze and preserve foods

What we're looking for
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Chef in a similar hospitality setting
* Formal Certificate IV qualifications in Commercial Cookery
* Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques and plating
* Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
* Passionate about using fresh, high-quality ingredients
* Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
