Weekend Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced chef to join our team on weekends, working as a Weekend Chef in our welcoming community. As a hands-on chef, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting meals for our daily dining room residents.

This is a part-time position working only weekends (Sat-Sun): from 10:30 am - 6:30 pm. You will have the opportunity to work autonomously and enjoy a variety of tasks.

About the Role:

  • Ensure quality meal services to residents and any visitors to the restaurant
  • Prepare, cook, present and deliver meals according to recipes with high attention to detail
  • Monitor food safety plans and ensure the kitchen is adhering to all OH&S standards
  • Manage stock - assist with ordering, stock rotation, stocktake etc.
  • Manage the cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • Work with fellow Food & Beverage or Cook/Chef staff to ensure smooth operations

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in catering/kitchen/hospitality settings (e.g experience in food preparation or Chef roles)
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required)
  • Current Police check (required, but we can complete for you)
  • Two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
