About the role
Join the dynamic warehouse team at Remington Steel as a full-time Warehouse Material Mover. Based in Somerton, Victoria, this hands-on role will see you take charge of moving, sorting and organising various materials and goods within the warehouse, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
What you'll be doing
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials and products
- Sort, organize, and store materials and products in designated areas according to established procedures
- Maintain accurate inventory records and provide updates on stock levels
- Assist in the preparation of outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and loading goods
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize workflow and improve efficiency
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role, preferably in the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry
- Forklift operator certification or the ability to obtain one
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to problem-solving
