Responsibilities

Your impact and responsibilities:

An outstanding 12-month opportunity has become available for an accomplished Applications Support Analyst to join our Information Technology team at Daimler Truck Financial Service, located at our head office in Mulgrave. This is a key role within our IT team, supporting core financial services application platforms across the organisation, including customer point-of-sale systems, credit decisioning, wholesale, and contract management solutions. These applications leverage multi-tier architectures across Microsoft technologies, including web, application, and SQL database servers hosted in cloud infrastructure.

Reporting into the Service Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Financial Services Applications (Level 2&3) 

  • Resolving incidents, problems and requests 

  • Supporting the production and development environments 

  • Supporting development and project activities 

  • Complying with Daimler Security and Compliance requirements  

  • Assisting with management of BAU Vendors 

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

To be successful in this role, you will have relevant experience in a similar role, supporting a broad range of applications and systems. You will use your confidence and skill to apply your strong technical and problem-solving abilities in conjunction with your understanding of business operations and stakeholder management.  Excellent interpersonal skills and a motivation to support the business from an IT perspective will be critical for success in this role 

You will be degree qualified, preferably in IT and have relevant industry experience.  Prior experience supporting data centre–hosted applications built on multi-tier architectures, including web servers, application servers, and SQL database servers will be a distinct advantage. A strong understanding of application dependencies, server roles, and operational requirements within enterprise environments will also put you in good stead. A basic understanding of ITIL along with confidence with all IT Infrastructure and Security topics is also highly desired.
