Consultants & Associates | Communications & Stakeholder Engagement VIC
Great projects succeed when communities, clients, and stakeholders are genuinely brought along for the journey. At TSA Riley, we're looking for an experienced Communications & Stakeholder Engagement (C&SE) Consultant to help make that happen.

You'll join our VIC team, reporting to both our VIC leadership and National C&SE Lead, and play a key role in delivering complex engagement projects, supporting bids, and collaborating with project teams across a wide range of sectors.

About The Role
As a Communications & Stakeholder Engagement Consultant, you'll:

  • Deliver communication and engagement outcomes in complex, high-profile environments — often involving political, social, environmental or community sensitivities where reputation management is key
  • Build strong, trusted, and respectful relationships with stakeholders and communities
  • Develop and implement strategic communications and engagement strategies and plans, with a focus on managing human risk
  • Lead stakeholder engagement activities such as co-design, stakeholder mapping, risk identification and mitigation, meeting facilitation, and event coordination
  • Prepare clear and accessible materials such as stakeholder presentations, community updates, newsletters, fact sheets, letters, and other collateral
  • Influence internally to help grow capability and promote the value of communications and stakeholder engagement
  • Contribute to bid development and pursuits across the TSA Riley business

About You
You'll Bring Creativity, Adaptability, And Stakeholder Savvy, Along With

  • 10+ years' experience in a strategic communications and/or engagement discipline, ideally on major infrastructure projects across a range of sectors, either client-side or consultant-side
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strength in making complex information accessible for diverse audiences
  • Leadership experience is highly regarded, as we will look to grow a team around you
  • A collaborative approach, with confidence engaging people at all levels across business, government, and community
  • A proactive mindset — willing to pitch in, manage competing priorities, and keep things moving under pressure
  • An understanding of confidentiality, sensitivity, and working in environments where public perception matters
  • Strong time management and the ability to adapt to evolving project needs and deadlines
