Airflite is a proven leader in aviation related services for both the Commercial and Defence sectors, specialising in Aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), Aircraft Sales, Avionics Line Maintenance, Avionics major modifications, Component Repair/Overhaul, Spares/Logistics Support, Structural Repairs and Fixed Based Operations (FBO) with VIP Lounge.

An exciting position has opened within the private aircraft charter/FBO division of Airflite. We are looking for a well presented, motivated individual to fill the position of Ground Handler and Customer Service Representative, based at our head office at Perth Airport.

To be successful for this role, you must be available at short notice, provide a safe, efficient and courteous service to our customers, while offering a professional level of service which exceeds expectations in our FBO operations and VIP lounge at Perth Airport.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating the arrival and departure of private charter aircraft
  • Aircraft ground handling, including baggage handling duties
  • Escorting passengers and crew through secure screening areas
  • Reporting directly to the FBO manager and Supervisor
  • Providing first class customer service at all times

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Previous experience working in an FBO or front-line customer service role is preferred
  • Previous experience working in an airport environment preferred
  • Professional verbal/written communication skills required
  • Excellent listening and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information
  • Ability to act under pressure and be flexible/adaptable to change
  • Possess a valid state driver's license
  • Possess a valid ASIC or obtain one
  • Possess a valid Airside Drivers Licence
  • Possess a Dangerous Goods Awareness
  • Pass a pre-employment medical

We are open to different working arrangements including casual or permanent and part time for the right candidate. There is ongoing work available and the FBO is a 24/7 service.
