We currently have three long term contract roles in Sydney for 'hands-on'
Senior Gen AI Software Engineers
. To be eligible, you will have 7+ years of classic software development experience, including solution architecture, coupled with demonstrable hand on experience building scalable, secure, and responsible
enterprise grade
Gen AI and Agentic solutions, preferably in a banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement Gen AI models and pipelines using LLMs, GANs, VAEs, and transformer-based architectures.

Develop agentic solutions and contribute to the Gen AI platform ecosystem (e.g., GenAI Studio, Secure Studio, Assistant, Gateway).

Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to translate business needs into AI-powered solutions.

Lead technical design discussions and mentor junior engineers in best practices for Gen AI development.

Ensure responsible AI practices including fairness, transparency, and privacy guardrails.

Contribute to the development of reusable components, templates, and cookbooks for internal Gen AI use cases.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong programming skills in Python and experience with full-stack development

Considerable hands-on experience with the following AI "tech stack"

  • AWS Cloud
  • EKS / ECS
  • Bedrock
  • Semantic Kernel
  • LangChain
  • LangGraph
  • HuggingFace
  • SageMaker

Deep understanding of foundational models, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning techniques

Demonstrated ability to deliver Gen AI solutions at scale in production environments

Experience with agent-based architectures and multi-agent orchestration

Experience delivering solutions in a banking environment

Experience in fraud detection, customer personalisation, or conversational AI is a plus
