We currently have three long term contract roles in Sydney or Melbourne for 'hands-on'
Senior Gen AI Software Engineers
. To be eligible, you will be a seasoned full-stack software developer with 7+ years of
enterprise grade
software development experience. You will also have demonstrable hand on experience building scalable, secure, and responsible Gen AI and Agentic solutions, preferably in a banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement enterprise grade Gen AI applications, models, and pipelines using LLMs, GANs, VAEs, and transformer-based architectures.
  • Design, develop, and implement agentic solutions and contribute to the Gen AI platform ecosystem (e.g. GenAI Studio, Secure Studio, Assistant, Gateway)
  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other engineering teams to translate business needs into AI-powered solutions.
  • Lead technical design discussions and mentor junior engineers in best practices for Gen AI development.
  • Ensure responsible AI practices including fairness, transparency, and privacy guardrails
  • Contribute to the development of reusable components, templates, and cookbooks for internal Gen AI use cases

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of professional full stack
    enterprise grade
    professional software development experience.
  • Strong full-stack programming skills in Python, .Net, Java, React, Typescript, etc, ensuring quality with automated unit and regression testing.
  • Experience deploying software solutions using enterprise-grade DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrated ability delivering Gen AI solutions, into a production environments, with a focus on application security and observability.
  • Experience building and deploying enterprise grade agent-based architectures and multi-agent orchestration.
  • Considerable hands-on experience with the following AI "tech stack".

AWS Cloud

Docker and Amazon ECS

Amazon Bedrock services, including Knowledge Base

Google ADK

LLM Gateways, such as LiteLLM

AI Observability platforms, such as Langfuse and HoneyHive

LangGraph

SageMaker

  • Deep understanding of foundational AI models, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning techniques.
  • Exposure to AI governance, compliance, and ethical AI frameworks, and the development and implementation of security guardrails.
  • Experience delivering software solutions in a banking environment.

Experience in fraud detection, customer personalisation, or conversational AI is a plus.
