Design & Technology Teacher

St Mark's is a co-educational Kindergarten to Year 12 school of AngliSchools, that provides a high quality, inclusive, caring Anglican education. We require an experienced D&T Teacher for a full time position.  This will be an ongoing contract starting in January 2026.

Selection Criteria

• Lesson Planning and Delivery: Demonstrated ability to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and rigorous D&T courses according to WA Curriculum that are tailored to meet the diverse needs of students. A clear understanding of current pedagogical approaches and practice is expected. Experience in SEQTA and Microsoft 365 is highly desirable.
• Strong Skills across Metal, Wood and Graphics: A Certificate II in Engineering qualification would be highly desirable.
• Classroom/Workshop Management: Proven experience in maintaining an organised, positive, and stimulating classroom/workshop environment that fosters safety, learning and student engagement.
• Marking and Assessment: Commitment to timely and accurate completion of all marking and assessment tasks, according to WA curriculum and SCSA Achievement Standards and the value of targeted feedback.
• Role Modelling and Cultural Promotion: Ability to serve as a positive role model by promoting the School's values, fostering a respectful and inclusive culture, and upholding professional conduct.
• Professional Development and Engagement: Commitment to ongoing professional development, active participation in co-curricular activities, and eagerness to contribute to the broader school community.
• Communication, Organisational, and Interpersonal Skills: Strong skills in these areas, reflecting an ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff, manage time and responsibilities, and foster positive relationships within the school community.
• Anglican Ethos and Child-safe School guidelines: all staff are expected to support the Anglican ethos of the School and act in a way that follows our Child-safe School guidelines.
