About the role

We have multiple permanent full-time roles in the Major Projects team, based from the Batemans Bay, Moruya and Narooma Depots. The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out physical labouring tasks and assisting the Major Projects Supervisors and Assistant Major Projects Supervisors to achieve a safe and well organised project/activity within the civil construction section of council.

The starting salary for this position is $2,356.39 per fortnight plus 12% superannuation.

About you

We want team members who enjoy working outdoors, have previous labouring experience and a basic understanding in plant capabilities and outputs in construction and maintenance areas. Your can-do attitude and ability to work well in a team to complete tasks and projects will make you a standout. To be successful you will also possess:

  • Relevant Certificate III level qualification or willingness and ability to obtain with Council assistance.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake physical labouring tasks associated with Council's maintenance and construction activities.
  • Willingness to successfully complete recognised training opportunities.
  • Good oral and written communication and literacy and numeracy skills.
