Your Role as Senior Duty Officer - Fitness

As the Senior Duty Officer - Fitness, you will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day operations, leading a large team of fitness professionals, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all members. You will lead fitness programs, ensure safety and compliance requirements are being met, and engage with our community to promote a healthy lifestyle.

In this dynamic position, you will have the chance to innovate and implement new programs, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with other departments to elevate our services. You will champion exceptional customer service and continuous improvement, develop and manage work rosters and your leadership will inspire our team and members alike to achieve their fitness goals.

Who We're Looking For

We seek a confident leader with a strong background in fitness and a genuine passion for community wellbeing. You thrive in a team environment and have the skills to inspire, support, and innovate.

• Extensive experience in the fitness industry, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and implement engaging fitness programs.
• Passion for promoting health and wellness within the community.
• Current AUSactive registration – or eligibility to obtain/renew within the month.
• Certificate III and IV in Fitness (with group fitness)
• Current and valid First Aid, CPR and WWCC is required.
• Current driver's licence – recognised in NSW.

• Interview date: Interviews will be facilitated within two weeks of closing.
• Package: $85,562 - $90,694 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
• Hours of work: Temporary Full-Time, 38 hours per week with option of 19-day month with flexi time arrangement. Applicants must be willing to work hours across a 7 day a week spread (Monday-Sunday) across our various Leisure Centres. This temporary opportunity is expected to be available for 12 months.
