The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and handy individual to join our team as a Vineyard Hand, with Maintenance experience.  As the Vineyard hand you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including maintaining tractor operations, foliar and weed spraying, machine and hand pruning, grape harvesting, slashing, vine training, trellis repair and assisting with irrigation maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain tractor operations and manage vineyard machinery.
• Conduct foliar and weed spraying using sprayers and other vineyard equipment.
• Perform both machine and hand pruning to ensure healthy vine growth.
• Assist with grape harvesting, ensuring efficient and timely collection.
• Carry out slashing to maintain vineyard appearance and health.
• Train and manage vine growth to support optimal crop yield.
• Repair and maintain trellises to ensure vine support structures are in good condition.
• Assist with irrigation maintenance to support proper water distribution.

What we are looking for

• An appreciation for precision viticulture and its importance in producing premium wines.
• Experience in tractor and/or harvester operations, manual and machine pruners, sprayers and other vineyard implements.
• Equipment maintenance including servicing and repairs to vineyard equipment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Current driver's licence (MR preferred).
• Impeccable safety standards with a chemical handler's certificate (preferred).
• High risk forklift licence (preferred).
