About The Opportunity
Our client is a leading financial services organisation going through an exciting period of transformation. As part of this journey, they're strengthening their Risk & Compliance capability to stay ahead of a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
This is a key senior role that will shape how the business manages compliance obligations and regulatory change across a large and complex enterprise. You'll work closely with senior leaders to enhance frameworks, uplift governance, and drive proactive engagement with regulatory bodies.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage and uplift the enterprise-wide obligations management framework.
- Maintain the central obligations register and drive ownership across business units.
- Lead horizon scanning and impact assessment of regulatory and industry change.
- Support oversight of regulatory programs and provide insights to senior executives and committees.
- Contribute to strategic responses to ASIC and APRA consultations.
- Provide thought leadership on emerging topics such as ESG, AI governance, conduct risk, and data ethics.
What we're looking for
- Degree in Law, Business, Commerce, or related discipline (postgraduate studies in Investments, Advice, or Superannuation highly regarded).
- Demonstrated experience in risk and compliance across superannuation, wealth management, or related financial services sectors.
- Strong understanding of Australian regulatory frameworks, including SIS, Corporations Act, and APRA prudential standards.
- Proven ability to influence and embed compliance culture across large organisations.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Collaborative and commercially minded, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
