Project Environmental Manager

As part of the $1 billion Tonkin Extension Alliance (TEA), Georgiou is seeking an experienced Project Environmental Manager to lead the environmental function on this landmark infrastructure project.

This hands-on, project-based role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental approvals, leading environmental management systems, and building strong relationships with regulators, clients, and community stakeholders. Reporting to the HSE&S Manager, you will play a key role in embedding best-practice environmental outcomes across the Alliance.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the development and implementation of the Project Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP), sub-plans and systems to meet all legal, client, and accreditation obligations.
• Manage the project's environmental monitoring program (air, noise, vibration, water quality, waste) and provide regular reporting of performance.
• Act as the principal point of contact for regulators, the client, and community stakeholders on environmental matters.
• Provide training, toolbox presentations and guidance to site and project teams on environmental practices.
• Liaise with government bodies and community groups to ensure positive environmental outcomes.
• Support the project team in closing out regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance across all work fronts.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the environmental team to deliver consistently high performance.

What you're good at:

• Extensive experience in construction, ideally with a focus on environmental management in civil or infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of WA environmental guidelines, legislation and compliance requirements
• Proven ability to liaise effectively with regulators, clients and external stakeholders.
• Experience in developing and delivering environmental systems and plans.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and guide construction teams.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.

Your application will be highly regarded if you can also demonstrate:

• Experience with ISC rating schemes.
• Groundwater, wetland or dewatering expertise.
• Prior experience on MRWA infrastructure projects.
