Our client is a rapidly expanding multidisciplined contractor with a strong reputation in Northern Australia. They offer diverse services in major industrial construction, capital works, and maintenance across multiple sectors.

Our client's North Queensland division consists of branches in Cairns, Townsville, and Mt Isa, with the capability to execute a wide range of projects. The team is supported by extensive national resources, allowing them to meet the diverse needs of their clients effectively.

The Role

We're seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join their Service and Construction division in Townsville. As they strengthen their presence as a genuine industry challenger, you'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and alignment with company policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage and execute assigned tasks in accordance with project requirements.
  • Collaborate within project teams to achieve key milestones and deadlines.
  • Maintain a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service.
  • Interpret and update electrical schematics and technical drawings as needed.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment and methodologies.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and workplace health and safety legislation.

On Offer

  • Attractive hourly rate: $42 - $52 per hour + super + penalties
  • $2,500 sign-on bonus ($1,000 in first week, $1,500 after 6 months)

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Unrestricted Electrical Licence
  • Current "C" class Driver's Licence
  • White Card (construction site card)
  • LVR & CPR Qualification
  • Experience in working in the Industrial Electrical Industry
  • Basic computer skills in Word and Outlook
  • Must have Australian Permanent Residency

Desirable:

  • Working at Heights certification
  • High-Risk Licence – EWP
  • Intermediate computer skills, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office package
  • Hazardous Area Installation experience and qualifications
