Criminal Lawyer | Exciting Full-Time Opportunity

About the Role: 1-3 Year PAE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a criminal law caseload with a focus on summary and indictable matters
  • Represent private clients (non-legal aid) and handle client meetings to gather instructions
  • Prepare and negotiate submissions with the DPP
  • Appear in court regularly for appeals, bail applications, and other hearings
  • Draft correspondence, legal advice, and briefs for counsel
  • Collaborate with some of the region's leading criminal barristers
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail
