About the Role: 1-3 Year PAE
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a criminal law caseload with a focus on summary and indictable matters
- Represent private clients (non-legal aid) and handle client meetings to gather instructions
- Prepare and negotiate submissions with the DPP
- Appear in court regularly for appeals, bail applications, and other hearings
- Draft correspondence, legal advice, and briefs for counsel
- Collaborate with some of the region's leading criminal barristers
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail
