About the Role:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, National Fleet and Mobility Strategy in Mulgrave, the Fleet Development Manager is responsible for driving fleet sales growth, expanding GWM's presence in the state, partner with dealer fleet teams, develop new business opportunities, and build long-term relationships with key state stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively hunt, identify, and secure new fleet opportunities across government, corporate, rental, and not-for-profit segments. 
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers, ensuring conversion into sustainable sales. 
  • Develop and deliver tailored fleet proposals, pricing strategies, and product solutions to meet customer needs. 
  • Work collaboratively with dealer fleet managers to drive State sales performance. 
  • Provide coaching, support, and guidance to dealer fleet teams on prospecting, account management, and customer retention. 
  • Organise and attend relevant trade shows.
  • Build relationships with FMO's, Novated lease/Salary packaging and provide assistance, training, product presentations and evaluation vehicles. 
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide insights on market trends, customer behaviour, and emerging fleet requirements. 
  • Report on pipeline progress, sales performance, and account activity against KPIs. 
  • Provide feedback to GWM's product, go to market and marketing teams to support fleet-relevant product development, market positioning, product launches and campaigns. 

Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum 3 year's sales experience (preferably within the Automotive or Fleet Management industries; in a wholesale or retail environment) 
  • Tertiary education / qualifications in a business discipline, an advantage. 
  • Exceptional communication skills (able to effectively construct business correspondence and communicate face to face across all levels i.e. Corporate/Government/Rental Business Customers & Dealers) 
  • Existing base of contacts to target. 
  • EV & LEV knowledge including charging networks.  
  • Intermediate computer skills; Microsoft Office.
