Business Development Manager – C&I

We are currently partnered with a leading provider of integrated clean energy solutions is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its growing Australian team. With a global footprint and a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation, the company delivers solar and battery storage systems, energy trading and flexibility services

This newly created role will focus on driving growth and sales for C&I energy projects, primarily in the sub-5MW range, with opportunities to work on larger projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the client base and delivering tailored energy solutions across multiple segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across targeted C&I sectors.
  • Lead the full sales cycle for energy solutions projects, from prospecting to closing.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to scope and present customised solutions.
  • Stay informed on market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activity.
  • Conduct client meetings and site visits (approx. once per week travel).

Experience:

  • Proven success in closing C&I energy projects in the 500kW–5MW range.
  • EPC experience is highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian energy market, including solar, storage, and emerging retail models.
  • Experience in outbound sales and business development.
  • Established network and proven experience across key sectors such as agriculture, large-scale retail, warehousing, construction, airports, and manufacturing.
  • Autonomous, organised, and results driven.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
