With major road upgrades and new transport connections underway, this project presents a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful change in WA's infrastructure landscape.

We are offering an opportunity for experienced Supervisors to join the project delivery team. This role is based in the Byford region so may suit people south of the river or those willing to travel to this location.

This project represents a $1+ billion investment in Perth's Road network, including a 14 km dual carriageway extension, grade-separated interchanges, underpasses (pedestrian, cycle, equine and rail), equine crossings, shared-use paths and local road upgrades starting now till late

You will be trusted to:

• Monitor your part of the project to ensure your section or package of work is delivered on time, to budget and within quality standards
• Supervise a work team to deliver project outcomes
• Identify and assist with the acquisition of resources ensuring adequate supplies, labour hire, are available for the project
• Assist the project management team with the development and implementation of process improvements which add value to the operations
• Carry out daily safety checks and ensuring worksites are in a state consistent with safety and health standards
• Attend all investigations of accidents and incidents within the area of responsibility
• Conduct and participate in site meetings (toolboxes, pre-start, inductions and other health and safety requirements)
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members
• Sub-contractor management and the strict compliance with quality and safety.

What we are seeking:

• Previous experience in a civil construction supervisory position, ideally with experience with structural and/or civil construction experience.
• Ability to run labour crews in excess of 15 people and manage heavy plant such as crawler cranes, franna cranes and telehandlers, dozers, loaders, diggers, moxy's etc.
• Ability to manage interface with other subcontractors and other project teams such as the civils teams
• Experience in managing critical risks and implementing controls including continual improvement on completing tasks such as heavy lifting, temporary works designs for structural and geotechnical applications
• Have either a relevant trade background or relevant qualifications
• MRWA experience is highly desirable
• Ability to show competence in planning projects and recording project progress
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build strong relationship with project stakeholders at all levels
• Able to travel to Byford daily for work
• Able to be flexible with work hours, to accommodate early morning preparation works such as concrete pours (Georgiou is keenly aware of staff hour management to ensure wellbeing of personnel is upheld and will manage the fluid hours across the project), day shift and night shifts, weekend works.
• Supervision who have a background in sub-contractor management and the strict compliance with quality and safety.
• The project will be working 5 ½ day working weeks. (this is just to set the expectations early).
