Coogee Boathouse is a waterfront venue located in North Coogee (WA With a focus on local produce, the restaurant is currently looking for a full-time Cook to join their team as soon as possible.

The Role

This is a hands-on role where you'll be working alongside the Head Chef and kitchen team to prepare fresh, seasonal dishes.

You'll help with prep, cooking and plating and play a part in keeping the kitchen running smoothly.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and cooking meals to a high standard with a focus on flavour and presentation.
  • Assisting with updating menu items and creating daily specials using seasonal produce.
  • Helping to source and handle fresh, sustainable ingredients from local suppliers.
  • Taking care of day-to-day kitchen duties such as food prep, cleaning and stock rotation.
  • Following food safety and hygiene practices and keeping your work area organised.
  • Working well under pressure during busy services while keeping attention to detail.

About You

  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery OR Kitchen Management
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of food safety & kitchen hygiene
  • Able to work well in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
  • Previous experience with Australian cuisine will be highly regarded
  • Positive attitude and genuine passion for cooking with fresh produce
