About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Floor Finisher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, installing, sanding, polishing, and finishing various types of flooring surfaces to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare flooring surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and repairing as required
  • Measure and cut flooring materials to precise specifications
  • Install various types of flooring materials such as timber, laminate, vinyl, and engineered flooring
  • Sand, stain, seal, and polish timber floors to achieve a high-quality finish
  • Mix and apply finishing products such as stains, varnishes, sealers, and coatings
  • Operate and maintain sanding machines and other relevant tools safely and efficiently
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality, uniformity, and adherence to client specifications
  • Remove old flooring materials and dispose of waste in accordance with safety and environmental standards
  • Communicate with clients, supervisors, and team members to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety on worksites at all times
  • Perform minor repairs and touch-ups as needed
  • Follow workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Floor Finisher or similar trade.
  • Knowledge of floor finishing techniques, materials, and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks.
  • Driver's license (preferred).
