Social Media & Personal Brand Assistant

Part-Time | Flexible Hours | In-Person + Remote | Melbourne

Ascend Law is a boutique family law law practice growing its digital presence and expanding into divorce coaching. We are seeking an energetic, confident and creative Social Media & Personal Brand Assistant to support content creation, marketing, and networking activities.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys social media, short-form video, branding and helping build an online audience. You'll work closely with the Principal Lawyer to plan content, film short videos, attend events, and help increase visibility across Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Filming and appearing in short social media videos;
  • Editing reels/TikToks with captions, titles and trending audio;
  • Creating posts and graphics using Canva;
  • Scheduling content and tracking engagement;
  • Attending networking events and capturing behind-the-scenes content;
  • Helping build branding for new divorce coaching services; and
  • Light admin support (social media enquiries, CRM, follow-ups).

You'll Suit This Role If You Are:

  • Confident on camera and comfortable working with video;
  • Creative and understand TikTok/Instagram trends;
  • Friendly, well-spoken and professional at events;
  • Happy to collaborate and take initiative; and
  • Organised and reliable.

Skills That Help

  • Canva or basic graphic design skills;
  • Video editing apps;
  • Strong written English and communication; and
  • Experience creating or editing content for social media

Hours & Pay

  • Approximately 5–10 hours per week to start
  • Mix of remote work + some in-person filming and local events
  • Opportunity to grow hours in 2026 as business expands
