Opportunity

WEM Civil has a rewarding opportunity for Excavator Operators to join the team.

We have a strong portfolio of projects currently underway across Sydney's Northwest and Southwest, as well as the Hunter and Illawarra regions. This role will require travel to job sites, located within these regions.

What We're Looking For:

  • Plant Operations: Ability to operate civil Excavators with precision and efficiency.
  • Trimble GPS: Proficient in using GPS systems for precision work.
  • Shaping and Trimming: Skilled in shaping and trimming to specifications.
  • Compaction Knowledge: Understanding the principles of compaction for effective results.
  • Truck Loading & Production: Efficient in loading trucks and maintaining production targets.
  • Machine Maintenance: Conduct daily maintenance checks, including oil levels and greasing.
  • Clean & Tidy Equipment: Ensure the machine is kept clean and well-organised at all times.
  • Assist with other site duties as needed to ensure project timelines are met.

The requirements of this position are:

  • Demonstrated experience operating a civil Excavator
  • Understanding of machinery operations within the civil construction industry
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, environment and quality standards and practices
  • A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative
  • A valid Construction White Card
  • A valid Drivers' License, with the ability to travel across sites
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
