*Electrical Engineer – Data Centres At Goodman:*
The Electrical Engineer has a day-to-day reporting relationship to the Head of Data Centre Development and will play a key role in supporting the Head of Electrical, Data Centres and the Design Manager by providing technical solutions across assigned data centre projects.

As the Electrical Engineer, Data Centres you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our electrical systems. You will work on the design, implementation, and maintenance of high-performance electrical infrastructures to support our data centre operation, supporting electrical engineering principles with a focus on power distribution, grounding systems, and energy efficiency measures. The Electrical Engineer, Data Centres will also support the Projects team in the management and reporting of projects to ensure they are delivered to Goodman's quality, approved budget and time frame requirements.

Day-to-day

• Provide technical solutions through demonstrated deep understanding of technical and customer requirements across all key disciplines
• Accountable for reviewing the related disciplines in the design process, providing instruction to RFIs and review/approve technical submittals
• Research, evaluate, and inform electrical equipment and other typology equipment/component selection to inform technical solution for respective customer requirements
• Design, implement, and maintain the electrical systems that support data centre facilities, in conjunction with Head of Electrical, Data Centres
• Post delivery, undertake reviews of electrical performance to identify opportunities for optimisation in operation, improvements in design and energy efficiency for future implementation
• Provide design management, technical direction, decision-making and leadership for data centre designs and critical infrastructure systems
• Establish and strengthen relationships and understanding of preferred vendor solutions to ensure efficient, cost effective and effective design solutions for Customer technical requirements and integration
• Contribute to the feasibility phase by undertaking due diligence activities to validate technical solutions in site selection
• Manage the projects design requirements including peer reviews, presentations, internal stakeholder review and coordination

*Requirements*

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, plus minimum three to five years experience as an Electrical Engineer in data centre or critical facility environments
• Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in commercial and industrial architecture and engineering, with a primary focus on data centres
• Demonstrate understanding of hyperscale and co-location data centre operators basis of design and technical requirements
• Experience with low voltage power distribution systems, UPS systems, PDUs, and generators
• Experience with high voltage power transformers and ring main units
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations
