The Role:
This role oversees the development, upkeep and daily management of the firm's precedent and document automation systems. It ensures the document library remains accurate, current and accessible, while assisting partners and staff with creating, refining and automating legal documents and workflows
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Aderant on feature requirements and system enhancements;
- Work with Knowledge Champions to prioritise development, conversion and replacement of precedents;
- Engage with partners and staff to maintain accurate, up-to-date and relevant precedents;
- Manage and develop the firm's precedent library using Contract Express;
- Implement and test Contract Express version upgrades;
- Provide strategic advice on the use and management of the precedent library;
- Undertake and oversee programming tasks relating to document automation;
- Advise on and implement new or replacement precedents as required;
- Develop and guide the workflow elements of Aderant Case linked to precedents;
- Liaise with Aderant and Contract Express support to deliver system improvements; and
- Carry out additional tasks as required, including new Aderant versions, precedent library updates, and maintenance of the Firm's Style Guide.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Aderant Expert v8 and Aderant Expert Case;
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365;
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Word, including creating and managing styles and formatting;
- Experienced in iManage Work 10;
- Advanced programming knowledge in Contract Express;
- Solid understanding of Windows 10 and 11;
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical details clearly to diverse audiences;
- Highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented; and
- Flexible and able to work to schedule as well as manage ad hoc tasks.
