About the Role
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth within the state by identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key customers, and developing strategic plans to achieve sales targets. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, the ability to analyse market trends, and a proven track record in business development and sales.
Key responsibilities include:

Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential business opportunities within the state:

Continuously track market dynamics, including economic indicators and regulatory changes, to proactively adapt business development plans.

Develop a deep understanding of key customers' needs and expectations, tailoring engagement strategies to strengthen relationships.

Create personalised engagement plans that address customer needs and foster long-term loyalty.

Lead negotiations with key customers, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements are reached.

Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, referrals, and cold calling.

Facilitate regular cross-functional meetings to align business development initiatives with other departments' goals and activities.

Share market insights and customer feedback with product development and marketing teams to guide the creation of products and campaigns that meet market needs.

Create detailed reports that provide insights into business development efforts, including successes, challenges, and opportunities.
About You

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or a minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the automotive industry preferred.

Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business development strategies.

Ability to travel as required.

Capable of developing long-term plans and strategies to drive sales growth.

Proficient in analysing sales data to make informed decisions.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction and negotiation with team members and customers.

Skilled in building and maintaining strong customer relationships with external and internal stakeholders, building positive company culture.
