About the position
The Principal Business Operations and Strategy provides strategic direction and leadership across the Water and Waste Services Group. The position provides high level support to the General Manager and Managers and delivers extensive strategies, projects and programs to achieve desired outcomes.

- The salary range for this position is $123, $138,941.51 gross per annum (full time rate), plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.

What we're looking for
- Bachelor Degree in Business or a related field from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to cultural change across the organisation and to coach, motivate and support staff to achieve corporate outcomes.
- The ability to understand and implement effective human resource management practices including demonstrated skills in advising on policy matters, resolving organisational issues and effectively negotiating desirable outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive and effective working relationships with key stakeholders and to provide accurate and timely advice in a helpful and supportive manner.
- Demonstrated excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including delivering presentations to management and employees and drafting high quality reports and correspondence.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to initiate and formulate extensive projects/programs, develop strategies to achieve desired outcomes within budgetary provisions and to report against objectives.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of legislation applicable to local government and Council's strategic operations with an ability to manage projects within legislative provisions or guidelines.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of systems and reporting in the public sector with the ability to contribute to the strategic planning of the section.
- Understanding of and commitment to Council's Organisational Values and Behaviours.
